About Us

I am an adoptive mother (13 years) and an author.
The Bridie Collection was born from my experience as an adoptive mother and my desire to support my daughter in understanding her story. When she was adopted, I wanted her to feel safe, loved, and confident in who she was. I knew how important it would be for her to make sense of her place in the world and the journey that brought her into our family.
The stories that became The Bridie Collection grew out of the tales I shared with her as she was growing up, stories that helped her explore big feelings, identity, and belonging. Over time, they became much-loved favourites, read and reread many times. Through those moments, I saw how storytelling could comfort, reassure, and help a child understand their beginnings.
Now that my daughter is older and proud of her story, I want to share these books with other families walking a similar path. My hope is that The Bridie Collection brings your child the same comfort, joy, and understanding it brought mine.
1St book – Bridie’s New Family (Published Oct 25), a heartwarming tale of a young girl finding her forever family.
2nd book – Bridie starts school (due to be published before Christmas 25), Bridie starts school, should she let her peers know she is adopted, will they understand?
3rd book – Bridie: what lies beneath (coming soon 2026), Bridie hits the teenage years and struggles to find where she belongs in the world.
